Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the provision of translation, interpreting and recruitment services (the "Services") by Tatkowski Interpreting & Recruitment ("we", "us", "our"). By engaging our Services you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

1. Services

We provide: (a) certified and non-certified translation; (b) interpreting (on-site, remote, telephone); (c) recruitment sourcing and placement of Polish & EU candidates. Any specific scope, price and delivery timeline will be confirmed in writing (email or signed agreement) prior to commencement.

2. Quotes & Pricing

Quotes are based on the materials supplied. We reserve the right to adjust if the final scope differs (e.g. additional pages, illegible content, format recreation). Unless otherwise stated prices are in Euro and may be subject to VAT where applicable. Interpreting minimums are charged at the agreed hourly or package rate. Recruitment fees are calculated as a percentage of gross annual remuneration unless a fixed fee is formally agreed.

3. Delivery & Turnaround

Turnaround estimates begin once we receive clear, legible source materials and written confirmation to proceed. Urgent or 2‑hour services are subject to resource availability and document suitability. Delivery is electronic (PDF) unless hard copies or certified print packs are explicitly requested.

4. Certified Translations

Certified translations include a signed translator statement. Where required we can coordinate solicitor or notary certification and advise on apostille steps. We do not guarantee acceptance where third party requirements change or are misrepresented by the client.

5. Interpreting

For on-site interpreting the client must provide accurate timings, address and context. Waiting time and over-runs may be chargeable in 15-minute increments. Cancellations within 24 hours (standard bookings) or 48 hours (full-day / multi-day) may incur up to 100% of the fee if we cannot reassign the interpreter.

6. Recruitment

Permanent placement fees become payable upon candidate start date. An 8‑week replacement guarantee applies only where the original invoice has been settled within agreed payment terms and the departure was not due to restructuring, redundancy, unsafe conditions, or non-payment of wages.

7. Payment

Unless stated otherwise, translation and interpreting invoices are due upon delivery (or in advance for urgent work). Recruitment invoices are due within 14 days of candidate start. Late payments may accrue interest under European Communities (Late Payment in Commercial Transactions) Regulations.

8. Confidentiality & Data

All client materials are treated as confidential. We store project files securely and only for as long as required for quality, legal or accounting purposes. Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Quality & Corrections

Translation queries must be raised within 5 business days of delivery; legitimate errors will be corrected promptly. Style preferences not shared prior to production are not considered errors. Interpreting accuracy is provided on a best professional effort basis.

10. Limitation of Liability

Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of the Services shall not exceed the total fees paid for the specific assignment. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or regulatory penalties arising from misuse or alteration of delivered materials.

11. Cancellations & Refunds

Work already completed remains chargeable. Prepaid urgent translation fees are non-refundable once resources are allocated. Where we cannot fulfil an accepted booking a proportional refund or alternative date will be offered.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
