What a Tatkowski Interpreter Covers
Spoken interpreting across 200+ languages plus Irish Sign Language, in three delivery modes: on-site attendance across Ireland, telephone on demand, and video remote interpreting (VRI) on the video platform you already use. One booking desk, one EUR rate card, one named interpreter per assignment matched to the setting.
Used daily by solicitors, the HSE, An Garda Síochána, schools and Dublin-based corporates. Confidentiality bound under the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR; medical work follows HSE confidentiality principles; legal work carries legal professional privilege where the interpreter attends as an agent of the solicitor.
How You Can Book
Three delivery modes. Same interpreter pool, same rate card, chosen by the setting.

Interpreter FAQ: Ireland
How quickly can you get an interpreter to an Irish court or appointment?
Same-day confirmation is standard for Polish, Ukrainian and Russian. Urgent District Court, Garda-station or HSE requests are typically confirmed within 30 to 60 minutes during business hours.
How much does an interpreter cost in Ireland?
Remote interpreting (phone or video) is billed per 30 minutes from €39.99. On-site business or medical interpreting is €49.99 to €69.99 per hour with a 2-hour minimum. Court and legal interpreting is €59.99 to €79.99 per hour with a 2-hour minimum. All rates are EUR and fixed in writing before the assignment. Travel outside the Dublin M50 area is quoted upfront.
How do I hire and book an interpreter for a meeting?
Tell us the setting (business meeting, hospital, court, school), the language pair, the date and expected duration, and where you need the interpreter to attend or which video platform to join. Confirmation comes back within 15 minutes during business hours with a fixed price and the interpreter's specialism. Booking form, WhatsApp and phone all work.
Are your interpreters qualified for the Irish courts?
Yes. Our legal interpreters cover the District Court, Circuit Court, High Court, Central Criminal Court and, with additional vetting, the Special Criminal Court. Court-appointed and privately-booked work both handled, plus Garda station interviews under the Custody Regulations 2019 (S.I. 119/2019) and IPO substantive interviews.
Which Irish institutions do you work with?
Regularly: HSE hospitals (A&E, maternity, mental health), the Courts Service, An Garda Síochána, the International Protection Office (IPO), NEPS and DES-funded schools, the Workplace Relations Commission and solicitors' firms handling immigration, family and criminal matters.
Do you cover the whole of Ireland or only Dublin?
On-site coverage is strongest in Dublin and the greater Leinster region, with regional cover in Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford arranged with 24 to 48 hours' notice. Remote (phone and video) covers all of Ireland same-day for most language pairs, no travel time or travel invoice.
Do you cover Irish Sign Language (ISL)?
Yes. We arrange RISLI-registered Irish Sign Language interpreters for courts, HSE appointments, schools and workplace assignments. ISL is a distinct language from BSL, with its own statutory recognition under the ISL Act 2017. See our Irish Sign Language interpreting page for detail.
What confidentiality and data protection standards apply?
Every interpreter signs an NDA. The Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR apply to all identifying information. HSE work follows HSE confidentiality principles and purpose limitation. Legal work carries legal professional privilege where the interpreter attends as an agent of the solicitor.
