We translate Spanish-language documents issued in Spain and across Latin America: Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador, Uruguay, Bolivia, Paraguay, Cuba, the Dominican Republic and every other Spanish-speaking jurisdiction. Diacritics (ñ, á, é, í, ó, ú, ü) are preserved exactly as they appear on the original. Common Spanish document types include:

Spanish-Specific Expertise

Spain operates a Traductor Jurado system: sworn translators appointed by the Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores, Unión Europea y Cooperación (MAEC) whose stamped translations are self-certifying in Spain. Ireland has no equivalent register. Spanish-source documents that already carry a TIJ MAEC stamp are accepted here, but for submissions to Irish authorities we produce a certified translation with a signed Statement of Accuracy: that is the format ISD, the Irish Courts Service and Irish universities actually require.

Latin American Spanish varies country by country in vocabulary, legal terminology and civil-registry layout. An Argentine partida de nacimiento reads differently from a Mexican acta de nacimiento or a Colombian registro civil de nacimiento. We handle each variant natively and match Ireland-side conventions (name order, date format, address layout) so ISD, the Passport Office and Irish universities process the file first time.

What Is a Statement of Accuracy?

Ireland does not have a "sworn translator" system. Instead, certified translations carry a signed Statement of Accuracy from the professional translator. This statement confirms:

"I, [Translator Name], a professional translator competent in both Spanish and English, hereby certify that the above is a true, accurate and complete translation of the attached original document. Company registration: Tatkowski Interpreting & Recruitment Limited (CRO 803790). Date: [date]. Contact: contact@tatkowski.com."

This format is accepted by ISD (formerly INIS), the Department of Justice, Passport Office, HSE and all Irish courts. No stamp or registry is required under Irish law. Where the Irish institution asks for an apostille, that step is applied to the original Spanish document in Spain (via MAEC) or in the LATAM country of issue, not to our translation.
